(click on each picture to enlarge)
Step 1.
Print out the 511 Order Form from
this website and fill it out.
Be sure to include color and material type of your External Vest Carrier
- as well as the measurements you took in Steps 2, 3 & 6.
Step 2.
Start by putting on your body armor in its existing carrier and then
measure the
gap or overlap (if there is one) on the side of your body. You will need
to write
this measurement down on your order form.
Step 3.
Now measure the gap between the bottom of your pads and your belt line.
You will
also need to write this measurement down on your order form.
Step 4.
Take off your body armor and trace the front panel on a piece of
newspaper.
Be certain to trace ONLY the body armor. You may leave
your panels in their original carrier when you trace your body armor,
just avoid tracing the excess carrier material as much as possible. We
only need to know the dimensions of your body armor. But remember, your
body armor in its original carrier will be placed in
our product!
Step 5.
On a separate piece of newspaper, trace the back panel
of your body armor.
Again, trace ONLY the body armor. You may leave your
panels in their original carrier when you trace your body armor, just
avoid tracing the excess carrier material as much as possible. We only
need to know the dimensions of your body armor. But remember, your body
armor in its original carrier will be placed in our
product!
Step 6.
Measure from the top of your shoulder (basically the middle of your trap
muscle) or the middle of your epaulet to the top of where your duty belt
lies. The purpose of this measurement is to see how long your vest
carrier should be.
